In fairness, neither prioritizes weight - Madone focuses on aero and the Domane on comfort. The Emonda has traditionally been their lightweight, climber's bike, so hopefully it'll come in competitively.
I understand that, same with my Colnago where the emphasis is supposedly on handling more than weight and I concur. However, the mid-range Treks that I've hefted were shockingly porky.
