Here's a 1989 Rockhopper Comp I just picked up. Like many of you I need another bike like I need more holes in my head, but had to do it as it is an exact duplicate of my first mountain bike in both size (19.5") and the blue and ivory paint scheme (I believe the other option in '89 was all yellow). As far as I can tell it's bone stock except for the tires which I'll probably replace with some 2.1 Billy Bonkers. Other than that, I plan on keeping it stock as much as possible. You don't see many of these where the graphics/decals aren't falling apart, so I'm very happy with the overall condition. There are a few small scratches in a few places, but I have some Toyota Voodoo Blue paint on the way that I think will match up pretty well. I haven't found any scratches on the Ivory paint so that will save me some trouble. The discoloration at the top of the fork is just some old dried grease presumably from the headset so that should clean up pretty easily.
