Hi,
I'm surprised that I didn't post some obscure relationships that I have with some 7-11 riders.
First, I raced as a junior with Doug Shapiro on Long Island. Of course racing with him means starting a race at the same time.
I ran into him years after he retired and I think he remembered me. After all, there weren't many Chinese-Americans racing bicycles during the 1970s.
Second, I worked with and was friends with a guy, who is still in the bike business, who grew up with and raced with Chris Carmichael.
Third, I am friends with and participate in training sessions led by Roger Young, who is Jim Ochowicz's brother-in-law (Sheila Young's brother).
Oh, and I really like Coca-Cola Slurpees.
