7-11 History - courtesy Davis Phinney

I found some fabulous 7-11 stories from Davis Phinney - one online in a story at cyclingnew.com - see http://cyclingnews.com/road/2004/tou...p?id=davis0403 , but the most entertaining version is a podcast from competitorradio.com - he tells the story of how 7-11 rider Alex Stieda became the dirst North American (he is Canadian) ever in the Yellow Jersey, without ever winning a stage!! He also tells some good Bob Roll stories... Well worth the listen - go to http://www.competitorradio.com/ then to ARCHIVES, and search for "Cycling" - there are lots and lots of interviews (over many years) with Lance, Bob Roll, Davis Phinney and many more. The podcast with the 7-11 history that is so entertaining is titled "Davis Phinney III"...

Enjoy!!!
