This was the second time addressing this issue - massive leaking from the undercarriage of the washing machine. The same problem as the last time, too - the accordioned rubber hose from the tub to the pump had been abraded away. Thinking that the suspension of the washing tub might be failing, and causing the outside of the tub to sag and rub on the hose, I decided to take a closer look, shoving a camera underneath while the machine was standing upright... no dice, though - there's no tight spots and potential contact points near the abraded areas that look like they could be problematic.

....and then I noticed that the hose had also been abraded away towards the sides of the hose and at the pump junction, where absolutely nothing could come in contact with it. Now I'm thinking that it might be some of Vol's desperate brethren, climbing inside and chewing away at it, for some dumb reason. Freakin' vermin.

Our washer and drier are ready to retire. Ordered new ones a week or so ago. Projected delivery, Thanksgiving.
