I wonder if they count shrinkage from evaporation because our snowfall depth is similar. It was around 12" last Wednesday and is now ~8.5".
I'm referring to the average for total snowfall for the entire winter. Seems they've switched from the historic average to the last 30 years average. Less snow than there used to be.
