Not counting the 1 pair (Specialized) that I keep down at my parents' place (to go along w/ the 1 bike I keep there) I have 4 pairs of cycling shoes:
- SIDI - the newest, and hence my usual go-to shoe...unless I'm wearing really thin socks, and then I grab
- Gaerne - they're about 8 years old, so I usually reserve them for when I'm wearing really thin socks (as above), or for wet-weather riding...unless it's really wet, and then I grab
- Specialized - they're 13 years old and look as if they're falling apart, but I can't seem to kill them, so they're perfect for riding in torrential downpours and then leaving in the hallway for a week to dry out
also, I have one pair of
- Answer winter cycling boots - maybe 9 or 10 years old? I grab these whenever temps get below 40°F
