I was riding on a bike path one morning in Spring, and I saw another cyclist, in the oncoming lane, stopped. He flagged me down.. There was a small rattlesnake stretched out across the path. I whipped out my Zefal HPX frame pump, flicked open the valve locking lever, and opened it to its full extension. Then I used it, with the lever under its body, to lift the little guy up and gently toss him into the brush some distance from the trail.
