1 and 2 aren’t really an issue for compression plugs (assuming you have some minimal mechanical aptitude), so it seems you’re mainly motivated to get rid of that 5mm spacer. What is the advantage of eliminating the spacer?
1. Aesthetics.
2. The stack limitations imposed by a previously cut steerer.
