HURET 1977 Type Dropouts

That's a Huret 1977 Type Dropout with an industry standard Campagnolo style derailleur hanger. The derailleur is a Spidel badged Simplex SLJ 5500 CP/SP with a 30T Max freewheel sprocket size.

NOTE: the openings of the dropouts and fork ends are tapered to make putting the wheels in easier. WOW! such a simple idea!!! They have a built in derailleur cable stop. From ~1977 into the early 1980's lot of mid range and up Motobecanes came with those dropouts.

OH! I guess I'm being too literal/technical DOH ???
