I associate that song with the death of a schoolmate. I went to a tree hugger elementary school outside the city. We took frequent walks in the woods. While in 5th grade a kid in 6th grade contracted Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, almost certainly from a tick, and mono at the same time and died a day before his 13th birthday. His brother was in my grade. His other brother was a few grades under. The family and mine lived somewhat close to each other and were members of the same swim club. At his memorial service at the school one of the teachers played Turn! Turn! Turn! The school planted an apple tree in his memory. Some of his classmates mixed some of his ashes into the soil at the base of the tree. It was really sad.
