Most of my Zwift rides are with the C-bot (2.5 w/kg) which is a nice tempo effort level for me. When I'm feeling decent, I will usually end up in a splinter group off the front working at 2.7+. I like the bot groups because I can joint and quit any time I like, whereas group rides starting at a specific time often don't fit with my schedule. When I'm feeling like something structured, a planned routine is erg mode is very effective. On occasion, I will just ride and see how it goes. Pretty frequently, I'll end up riding with a few others who are working at the same level. If I'm solo, I'm probably chasing a rabbit up the road. This is how I do it. You do you.
