I found out I have Ventricular Tachycardia when testing after my accident last year. I found I can minimize it with medication and reducing the training load I carry. The days of 200+ mile one day rides and double metrics are gone, may try a lazy century later in the season. Sad, but not worth dying over.
The funny thing is I saw random high HR numbers, but thought the monitor was screwing up. Cardiologist told me that HR's are really good at counting beats, good or bad. I never felt anything while it was happening, but doesn't change the possible outcome of syncope, or death.
