Been there, done that—getting off, when I was using clipless shoes for the first time. My wife and daughter witnessed the fall as my bike came to a stop in the driveway.

I'm 74, had a knee replacement a year ago, ride only 1,000 miles a year, mostly one-hour outings from my house. But it keeps me healthy and happy. When I start getting a little irritable my wife asks if it is time for me to go out on my bike for a while. When I come back, all is well.
