look at it another way, unless you are selling a project that is not ready to ride, then as a seller who has done mechanical work to the bicycle, there is an implied liability and worst case, forgetting the buyer gets hurt due to a mechanical adjustment defect...
there is a moral obligation to put it together in safe operating condition.
plenty advertise on CL offering a project.
