I suspect his first name is Douglas. I matched up this contact info on skipechert.com (via the Wayback Machine)

with a web search for "Echert, Renton WA" and landed here:

That has a lot of overlap with the information on his site, so I think it's the same person. Traversing back in time for skipechert.com on the Wayback Machine is instructive. There was one snapshot where the contents of his server files were exposed (basic directory listing, not a web page). This obviously has nothing to do with vintage bikes, just interesting for nerds like me who have dabbled on the web. If you do this sort of thing, it's instructive to see what can leak out if you're not careful.
