That.is indeed scary. Something similar happened to my wife a few years ago. Shortly thereafter we were donating blood and they said they couldn't use hers. Too thick. So we went to the Cardiologist and he fixed her up. Your wife is young. Glw clearing it up.
She’s convinced that she just over did it. I think there is something else at play. I am hoping she will go to the doctor.
