don't advocacy and safety go hand in hand? i'm not knocking your idea or concerns. i just don't see the admin's seperating the two. of couse, i'm not an admin so i can't speak for their ideas on it.
have you tried starting a discussion the A/S forum about your misgivings? i understand where you're coming from about it. safety discussions can get very, very heated.
