If you're referring to OEM bikes, there are companies that manufacture "dongles" that override the settings. I had a listing for one in Europe for my Haibike Yamaha system, but didn't use it. Probably the warranty will be voided. As above, DIY systems allow you to control these functions. Dillenger is in AU; have you contacted them?
