I remember when I was 'graduating' from elementary school, and M&D bought me a sports jacket for the commencement - my first one! I was so excited! I was cutting off the tags and accidentally cut a half circle in the back somehow. I was CRUSHED!! I felt so STUPID!!! Luckily, with a piece of Scotch Tape I was able to keep it from showing. But obviously it was traumatic enough that I remember it 53 years later.
I did the same thing. There was a tag sewn on the sleeve and like a 13 year old idiot, I slipped the scissors under the tag and cut four small places. My mother was livid.
