Help, please. I tried to search the thread, but got nowhere.

I have my 2013 Sirrus with the original 28cm tires. I want to replace them with a bigger tire and need to know how big I can go, based on owners' experiences with this "vintage". I'm guessing I can do 32s easily enough, but I have 45cm Schwabs on my Trek 8.5 and wonder how close I can get to that, maybe 35-38 or so??? A still-relatively-light biggie is my imagined solution..., but welcome hearing of all good >28cm experiences. Thank you.
P.S, -without changing my original DT Swiss wheels, BTW, please.
