And of course we have to keep it this way for absolutely no reason even though it's been "more inconvenient" to the way women actually dress for decades (it's so hard to find a good ladies' maid these days), because of course we have to have some stupid way of making sure women and men know what they're expected to wear and we can't have anybody breaking any gender molds, even in situations where they're irrelevant... (see also: why everything for women is in pink or pastel colors, even if it's the same exact thing for the same exact purpose.)
