Pretty much top of the heap for Peugeot. I don't remember prices but the top end Peugeot racing bikes went for less than a top end Italian bike. Most folks wanted an Italian bike or perhaps a top end American bike. That said, the Peugeot supercompetition was a race worthy machine with fine parts.
