I use them on all of our bikes. I stick with the Shimano QLs on the Shimano chains on my Trek, and KMC links on the others. I've never had a problem with one failing or coming apart. But, then again, I'm not cranking out massive watts all day long.
I know nothing about Campy stuff.
I was unable to install a SRAM quicklink on a Shimano chain recently. I didn't try really hard. I just went and got a Shimano compatible one. In my old age I find myself using quicklinks and cartridge BBS more than I used to
