tubes are holding up, a cpl years now. but I hear ya. & yeah Schrader on all our family bikes. 7 in all. it's just easier that way & I dislike Presta. no good reason for them anyway. a few of the bikes came w/ Presta & I just drilled them out. no big deal. easy to top off w/ the car compressor too
