Short runs aren't complicated, I've put in plenty of new outlets, including 240v outlets for appliances and power tools, but that's about as far as I'll go. Even then, I'm always a little nervous opening the panel or when I flip on the new circuit for the first time. Haven't burned the house down yet, though.
