Mostly a tri geek thing. I have a PN-something on my P2 and the Attack on my trainer bike. For a roadie I tend to prefer something narrower in the front, but that's just me (many like them on road bikes).
I wouldn't mind trying something that was a little more amenable to riding on the rivet. It seems like the ISMs might be good for that, but I'm not sure what kind of trade-offs there would be for... regular riding.
