Today I discovered that, even with a small Costco run thrown in, I can get to the city, do my errands, and get back home much more quickly and economically on public transportation. With the added bonus that I don't have to drive, or look for parking.
The public transportation alone is reason enough to live in Mexico.
I was describing my criteria for a place to retire to Mrs. GeneJockey, and when I mentioned "Good public transportation", she said, "Why would I take public transportation?"
This is the woman who has declared she won't drive after mid afternoon, and that time keeps getting closer to the earliest she'll drive in the morning. So I'm not sure how she expects to get anywhere.
