The cleaning fluid in the parts washer was stanasol which is a special fluid from the parts washing company that picks it up and recycles it by filtration every few weeks. Pricey to get and use unless you are in a shop environment. There are parts washing machines available from places like harbor freight that can use solvents like the mineral spirits mentioned above.
