I've been considering the
Velo Orange Randonneur bars for a build and asked a question about them vs their formerly-in-stock "Course" bars a few weeks back. The info I got back was valuable. I was told that
"The Rando bars are our only classic-standard road bars, sporting more of a randonneuring, sport-tourer shape, rather than the racier, more traditional shape of the Course. A little bit of upsweep, and a little flare, as well as a considerable amount of drop. As we don't have plans on bringing back the Randonneur after it's gone, I'd suggest you check one out sooner than later."
I'm glad I sat on the information because it seems as through they now have them discounted, which is a nice treat, but it also means they may be giving them one final push out the door.
Now may be a good time to act if you have a need for these.
