Aesthetically for me it would be various offerings from Alex Singer, Renee Herse, Cycles Grand Bois etc. As far as “classy” is concerned. The above 1986 Schwinn Voyager is a special bike to me because they hit this spot and aren’t impossible or expensive to find.

Old italian bikes are beautiful of course, but I’ve come to appreciate a more understated look on the frame with a handful of accessories (racks, fenders, dynamo etc).

My pick somewhere between understated (the above) and flamboyant (high end italian steel) would be nice Peugeots.
