Oh, no doubt. But Dura Ace has always been expensive, as you well know, owning that lovely cardboard box and presumably everything that was inside it.
The boxed 25th Anniversary set has been running on eBay between US $3,000 and US $4,000 recently. I suspect it's probably quite a bit higher in Japan as its collector value has increased.
I can't imagine the black cubist design of modern Dura Ace will take well to any 50th Anniversary treatment, but I am still curious to see if they even make an attempt celebrating this milestone.
