Have you tried an M6? I am at work and can't confirm but I am thinking I was surprised about how big the bolt on my 85 is the first time I removed it.
I took a better look at the holes and they are unthreaded. My other bikes all have m5 threaded mounts so I was surprised by this one. It does go all the way through the other side.
Anybody know what advantage it would be to have this style of mid fork mounts?
