Before I rode on Saturday, I did what
bampilot06 was talking about last week with tipping his levers inwards (ala Remco, etc.) just to give it a try. I have to say, I think I like it. It creates a slightly more comfortable wrist angle, and doesn't at all impinge brake/shifter use. I'm going to stick with it for now.
