You might have been right sir! Despite lubing the chain I always do maybe it was just a miss, I relubed everything and dropped some dry teflon lube on the pulleys just because I'm neurotic. It sounds quieter on the stand at least, real test will be back on the road. Your insight about the frequency of the noise is spot on I think
