Do your PT, don't drink, don't smoke, and eat a good diet. It gets better, just be patient.

3 plates, 150 mm rod, 25 pins/screws, a bit of chicken wire, and some cadaver bone thrown in.

It gets better in time. Mine is not 100% but I can ride. Slapshots are impossible, I think there is some loose hardware and one of the screws nicks the ulnar nerve but in time you should improve a lot.
