Do you have at least 18-1/2” clearance? I have a Ventolux my buddy just gave me with a box of parts from his 70’s Peugeot. It’s 19-1/4” uncompressed, and will compress down to 18-1/2” with the hose installed and about 18-1/4” with the hose removed.
