I hit glass, I never saw it. It was 50 degrees and damp and dark when I changed the first tube. I found one shard and assumed that did the deed, did not inspect my tire further. More becuase I was cold than anything. That bit me in the ass. I stopped to stretch, and whenever I stop I always grab my tires to check pressure, rear tire was squishy.
You could always squirt a couple ounces of tubeless sealant in it and maybe you won't even have to stop for the next puncture.
