I Beat Justin Williams!

2004 CBR Cat 3 State Championship crit. I was a 35yo dedicated weekend warrior, and Justin was a very talented 15yo (14, maybe?) who had beaten me in another drag race finish earlier in the year. For me, it was one of the best races I had in my 12 years of pinning on a number. I got a fantastic leadout from a teammate into the last corner that forced Justin to take a longer line, which was probably the deciding factor at the finish.

This was my last win before putting the bike aside to focus more on raising my daughter who was born the same year.

Just an old dude reminiscing...
