However here is my bias for the recommendation.

Almost 20 years ago, after having complained 3 or 4 years to my other doctors of neuropathy in my foot and other issues in my body seeming to be nerve related, that the neurologist that I was eventually sent to had me get a Schilling test and found out that I actually did have an issue. B12 deficiency or Pernicious Anemia which means that my body won't absorb B12 from food. I have to give myself IM injections of hydroxocobalamin or cyanocobalamin on a regular basis.

The other doctors pretty much thought it was all in my head. So that's why I suggest a specialist.
