Not a model I ever saw in Greater LA: those Carrera Sports always had chrome-plated lugs (same "fancy style that was sort of an homage to Nervex Pro) and fork crown, but not with a cottered crank: the cotterless "Maxi style" crankset was a selling point. I convinced my Brother-in-law to buy one but was disappointed that it weighted more than the glitzy appearance had "promised". But he was happy with the bike and rode it often until some thief grabbed it out of their garage along with my sister's Gitane.
