I tend to wash my cycling gear (or 'bike togs', as my wife calls them) separately because the wife and kids have qualms about my Old Man Sweat getting on their clothes. And then I hang dry. Once, maybe twice, one of the kids 'helpfully' threw my bike stuff in the dryer, when they wanted to use the washer. Ruined two pair of bib shorts that way - they went from snug to unusably loose. Now, they know not to do that again.
