One of our developers and testers were able narrow this down and unfortunately believe that this may be a bug with the Specialized Ride app for Android phones. We were able recreate this using an Android device, but worked fine with the iOS version. As the code and logs from the Android and iOS version of the Elemnt app checked out it is likely a good idea to double check with specialized to see if they can reproduce this error and find the cause of the bub."
The work around: don't crash. So far, so good.
