Better yet, wear a hoody and ride your flat bar and you will have all your bases covered.

Like was said above, ride the bike you are the most comfortable on because after 70 miles, you will need it. Good luck and good for you.

From his profile, his flat bar appears to be a single speed, so I'm guessing he's likely to need more than one gear to get through his first century. Maybe not, though because he appears to be in Florida, so not necessarily any hills.
