Warranty claim comment. I broken 5 Raleigh mount time frames. Lifetime warranty. Each time Raleigh provided replacement parts that would not transfer over. Like seat post. For Trek they offered a Elmonda frame with direct mount brakes. This was the only equal on hand with rim brakes. I think is was a 2109. Anyway. But I had to buy the brakes and the press fit BB90. With 25% off. Had to think hard on this as I’ve got rim brake Aeoles Pro 5 rim brake wheels. Wanted a Domane or Checkpoint with disk. Checkpoint was October and purple did not grow on me. Found a Domane so decision made. Next year or so I hope to find a frame for my parts and carbon wheels.

To the point of this thread. If the 2017 is clean and fits go for it. It should weigh less than a 2021 or 2022. Also if it does not have through axles that is a plus. I’m still getting used to them. The rear is more cumbersome.

Good luck and either way you will be astounded by the improved ride.
