if you’re talking about the little italy area adjacent to dtown san diego, there are a few clustered streets heading east from there up to balboa park. kalmia, juniper and laurel streets all have steep stretches that go on for two blocks. laurel has the steepest one block stretch and carries way more traffic than both kalmia and juniper combined. laurel also has a stop light at the bottom and the head-on approach to the hill is a little steep as well with bleepy pavement.
