Yeah. Here's how non-Eroica C&V rides work in my experience:

1) Pick a route
2) Pick a date
3) Pick a place to have food and/or beverages before, during, or after
4) Invite a bunch of people
5) Enjoy

You won't get anything as big as Eroica, but in practical terms it's hard to talk to more than 10 or so people anyway and that's easily achievable with the above steps.

I've thought it would be really cool to have some kind of rotating Bike Forums event every year so we could meet members from other regions and discover some of their favorite rides.
