The wider clamp bands (used on road lever bodies) seem to come in the next larger sizes stamped 23.5 or 23.8 and these won't swap in as replacements for the narrower clamp bands of the upright bar levers (too bad).
If you want the 22.2 look for an old steel drop-bar with those levers, that was the steel diameter.
