OK, did some measurements and took some pics.
The Novatec hub (SRAM cassette) wheelset is
-2mm offset on the drive side compared to my Hope hub (Shimano cassette) wheelset. I took measurements with a caliper on both the drive side and disk brake side. My caliper's batteries were dead so I rounded to the nearest mm which is about the best I could read. illustrated here:
Here I used the Thru Axle to align the wheels looking at the drive side, left a gap between them
