1981 Miyata 710 with 700x38 tires?

A 1981 Miyata 710 is available locally. I need another bike project like a...(insert gruesome trope), but I do have a set of of 700x38mm gravel kings collecting dust, and the 710 is a 27' Sporty Sports Tourer with fender mounts. Any chance the 700x38's will fit? The other consideration is that I have an 1982 Miyata 610 that gets pushed farther back in the garage every time I bring another bike home. The 610 is going to remain a 27" bike but it looks very similar to the 710 on paper and there is going to be a massive herd cull at some point, so I shouldn't be buying more bikes just "on principle" Thoughts? Thanks, Woody

P.S. here's a link to the 1981 catalog. 1981 Miyata catalog
